Organic Woojeon “Before Rain” Green Tea



Meaning ‘before rain’, organic Woojeon tea hails from Jeju Island, the Hawaii of South Korea. In this pristine wilderness of waterfalls and lava tube caves, legendary female free divers known as haenyeo (sea women) harvest shellfish from the sea, and tea gardens flourish in a volcanic landscape. The wiry leaves are naturally infused with the flavours of mineral-rich soils and salty sea breezes. Complex characters develop in Winter hibernation, then the first flush is hand-picked in the days before monsoon season, quickly steamed and pan roasted.
